One of the most common things I hear from new moms is, “Can we just take pictures of the baby?”
Absolutely—we can.
We’ll capture plenty of beautiful portraits of your sweet newborn. Those tiny fingers, little toes, and sleepy smiles deserve to be remembered.
However, I always encourage moms to step in front of the camera, too.
As a newborn family photographer in Bossier City, I’ve never had a mom tell me she regretted getting in the photos. Instead, I often hear how thankful they are that they took the opportunity. This is true even when they felt nervous or didn’t quite feel like themselves yet.
These photographs become so much more than portraits.
Over time, they become part of your family’s story.
Your baby won’t remember whether your hair was perfect or whether you felt like you still had baby weight. Instead, they’ll simply see the person who loved them from the very beginning.
That’s why I believe some of the most meaningful images from your newborn session are the ones that include Mom.

A newborn session should celebrate more than just your baby.
Instead, it should also capture the love and connection between your growing family.
As a newborn family photographer in Bossier City, I want to create images that feel natural, meaningful, and true to your family. Years from now, these photographs will remind your child how deeply they were loved from the very beginning.
A lot happens after having a baby.
You’re adjusting to life with a newborn, and you’re probably exhausted. At the same time, you may not quite feel like yourself yet.
Because of that, it’s completely normal to look in the mirror and notice the things you wish were different.
Your baby doesn’t see any of that.
Instead, they see the person who comforts them.

They recognize the voice that makes them feel safe. They also know the person whose heartbeat they listened to for months before they were born.
When your child looks back at these photographs years from now, they won’t notice whether your hair was perfectly styled. They won’t notice whether your body had fully recovered from pregnancy either.
Instead, they’ll simply see their mom holding them with so much love.
One of the reasons I offer a full-service newborn experience is because I want you to enjoy being in front of the camera.
For example, you’ll have access to my carefully curated client wardrobe. It is filled with beautiful, flattering dresses that photograph beautifully. Each piece is selected to help you feel comfortable, confident, and beautiful during your session.
If you’d like a little extra pampering, you can also add professional hair and makeup.
I work with incredibly talented artists who create a natural, polished look that photographs beautifully. As a result, you get a chance to sit back, relax, and let someone take care of you for a change.
Many moms tell me that having their hair and makeup done helps them feel refreshed. It also gives them a chance to slow down before stepping in front of the camera.
You deserve to feel cared for, too.
Once we’ve chosen your dress, I’ll help coordinate outfits for Dad and any older children. Simple, timeless clothing in neutral colors keeps the focus exactly where it belongs—on your family and your newest little love.
After you’re ready, I’ll gently guide you through the entire session. Therefore, you don’t have to know how to pose or wonder what to do with your hands.
Instead, I’ll direct you every step of the way so your images feel natural, comfortable, and full of genuine connection.

Some of my favorite photographs aren’t the perfectly posed ones.
Instead, they’re the quiet moments.
For example, they might include the way your baby curls into your chest or tiny fingers wrapped around yours.
You may also see a soft smile appear when you look down at your little one. Meanwhile, gentle forehead kisses often happen naturally.
Those moments happen because I give you time to simply hold your baby.
There’s no pressure to perform.
Just love on your little one.
I’ll take care of the rest.

Right now, you’re in the middle of the newborn stage.
The days can feel long. Because of that, it’s easy to think you’ll always remember exactly how your baby fit in your arms.
However, before you know it, they’ll be crawling, walking, and heading off to school.
These photographs become a way to hold onto a season that passes much too quickly.
Years from now, they won’t just remind you what your baby looked like.
Instead, they’ll remind you what it felt like to hold them close.
They’ll bring back the feeling of kissing their tiny forehead and memorizing every little feature. Most importantly, they’ll remind you of the beginning of your journey together as a family.
Those are memories worth preserving.

If you’re expecting and looking for a newborn family photographer in Bossier City, I’d love to help you capture this incredible season.
My goal is to create timeless photographs that celebrate not only your new baby but also the love and connection your family shares from the very beginning.
