One of my favorite parts of being a baby milestone photographer in Shreveport is getting to watch little ones grow right in front of my lens. Grace Elizabeth’s first year plan is one I’ll never forget. From her sleepy newborn session to her personality-packed one-year photos, every session was filled with love, joy, and sweet memories.
As a baby milestone photographer in Shreveport, sessions like Grace’s are exactly why I love documenting a baby’s entire first year. Watching families grow and preserving each season is such an honor.
To make it even more special, we shot her one-year session on her family’s beautiful land—complete with cows in the background and wide open fields that made the perfect, peaceful backdrop.
Newborn Session: The Beginning of Her Story
Our first session together was when Grace was just days old. Curled up and cozy, she slept through most of her newborn photos and gave us those classic, squishy poses that melt every parent’s heart. Soft blankets, tiny fingers, and dainty bows—it was the perfect start to her milestone journey.
Sitter Session at 6 Months: Her Personality Shines
By six months, Grace was sitting up strong and showing off the cutest little expressions. Her milestone sitter session was full of big smiles, giggles, and that red, white, and blue romper we couldn’t get enough of. These 6-month photos are such a sweet middle chapter—right between baby and toddler.
As a baby milestone photographer in Shreveport, I always recommend including a sitter session in your baby’s first year plan. It’s such a short-lived stage and absolutely full of personality.
One-Year Session: Standing Tall & Showing Off
At her one-year session, Grace was standing on her own, laughing, and full of energy. She wore the sweetest little floral dress, knee socks, and white shoes—pure vintage charm. We explored her family’s land during golden hour, and the cows even made a little cameo in the distance. It felt so personal and meaningful to take these photos in a place that’s truly part of her story.
Family Moments: Big Brother & Mom and Dad Join In
For Grace’s final milestone session, we included her whole crew—mom, dad, and big brother. He was so proud and sweet, and we even grabbed a few romantic couple shots of mom and dad (because let’s be real… they deserve it too). These family photos added even more heart to her one-year gallery.
The Final Keepsake: A Mounted Storyboard
At the end of the year, Grace’s parents received a mounted storyboard featuring images from all three milestone sessions—newborn, 6 months, and one year. It’s such a beautiful way to look back and see just how much babies grow in 12 short months.
