This session was such a joy to photograph. We met near Lake Bistineau with 18 family members, made up of four families and their kids. The tall Louisiana cypress trees created a stunning backdrop. Even without the lake in the photos, the area felt peaceful and full of natural charm.

The family chose a black, white, and denim color palette. Their outfits worked so well with the soft tones of the cypress grove. Everything felt clean, classic, and coordinated. Since we shot before dusk, the light was soft and flattering. The cool weather also made the experience comfortable for everyone.

A Fully Posed Session With Four Families

This session was fully posed from start to finish. Every grouping was planned out. Each family took turns stepping into their portraits. We moved through parent shots, siblings, and whole-family poses one by one. The kids were wonderful. They followed directions and brought big smiles to every setup.

After we finished the individual families, we moved into the bigger groupings. The full family portrait was such a highlight. Seeing all four families together created such a meaningful moment. These images are always so special because they capture everyone in one place at the same time.
